Introducing the K Room; a kaleidoscopic world-class wedding venue

After a visit from the "Beast from the East", postponed things slightly, on the 6th of March, an incredible world-class wedding venue was born.

Any regular visitors to our blog and social media won’t have failed to notice the immense amount of hard work that has gone into the dramatic transformation of our grade-2-listed Georgian house.

On the launch night, we officially toasted the arrival of the new-look Fairyhill with our family, friends, colleagues and business partners

We think it’s fair to say that everyone in attendance could see for themselves the love, affection, determination and attention to detail that went into the creation of our new, state-of-the-art extension.

All it needed now was a name worthy of this iconic, innovative and breath-taking space.

The idea behind the name

During the final stages of construction, we asked our followers on social media to share their thoughts on what we could call this outstanding venue.

We were inundated with fantastic ideas and, while the chosen name came from our own team, we’ll be choosing our favourite from the suggestions we received and offering a prize, so watch this space.

On the night, we finally revealed the name that truly complemented our stunning space.

But why the K Room?

Here are the thoughts that went into the naming of a world-class space in a luxury wedding venue.

The K in K Room stands for Kaleidoscope

Inspired by the effect that the panoramic circular array of windows created, we couldn’t help but see the room as a fantastical portal that will take a myriad of happy couples “through the looking glass” to their magical dream wedding.

And once we saw this stunning image, we knew that we had found an idea that perfectly exemplified the space.

We had the concept of the kaleidoscope; a continually changing pattern of shapes and colours, but now we needed a name that was short, concise, memorable, modern and minimal.

The K Room is all of this and more, especially with its stylish new logo that subtly hints at the kaleidoscopic origins of its name.

Welcome to the K Room

For anyone who couldn’t make it on the day, here’s the stunning video for our grand opening.

If you’d like to experience the K Room in all its glory, come to our next wedding showcase or book a private tour.

We’ll leave you with the inspirational words of the guest speaker at our grand opening, Professor Terry Stevens, International Tourism Consultant;

“This country of ours, Wales, has a new brand. It’s a brand that says, let’s cherish the past, adorn the present and construct the future… It’s about a contemporary, compelling, engaging Wales. A Wales that inspires the people of Wales to create their future with confidence.”

We believe that the K Room exemplifies everything that is great about the brands of the Oldwalls Collection, Fairyhill and Wales.

After all, we are weddings.
