A new decade sees new rules this leap year

Traditionally, 29thFebruary, Leap Day, or as it was known in the mid-20thcentury, ‘Bachelor’s Day’, was the day on which a woman could ask a man to marry her. For Giada Bonazzi, 27, from Fforestfach in Swansea the tradition was scrapped when she asked her partner, Chris to take her hand in marriage last week.

In July 2013 Legislation allowed same sex marriage in England and Wales. This Legislation was passed by the United Kingdom Parliament and came into force on 13thMarch 2014 allowing same sex marriage to take place from 29thMarch 2014.

Hannah Stone formally the official harpist to The Prince of Wales from 2011 – 2015 said ‘I do’ to the Welsh bass-baritone legend at the Caersalem Newedd Bapist Church in Swansea followed by beautiful celebration at Fairyhill, the iconic grade two listed Georgian property based the Gower Peninsula which has recently been transformed into one of Wales’ finest wedding venues.
