Thank You NHS
300 years of Fairyhill has seen poverty, war and devastation, but in 2020 we fight an altogether new enemy. An invisible enemy. Covid-19.
A recent campaign, ‘clap for our carers’ launched and brought together a nation to say thank you to the NHS staff.
People got together and gave a round of applause to the NHS and workers from windows, doorsteps and balconies, to show appreciation to those who are tirelessly battling the Coronavirus pandemic. This truly is Britain at its best.
Landmarks from across the UK were lit up in blue to show gratitude, including the Principality Stadium in Cardiff,
And of course, Fairyhill. The iconic Fairyhill façade was lit in blue, our way of showing gratitude at a time when all we can do is stay indoors and to, of course, honour these incredible people.
The tribute was part of the #LightItBlue campaign, organised by members of the entertainment and events industry to say thank you.
As a nation, we united. We even got a re share from the one and only Sam Smith!
People from across the country got together to show their appreciation, including Welsh artist Nathan Wyburn who created this epic shot made up of hundreds of photographs of health workers.
Every Thursday we’ll be applauding the NHS workers to show our support throughout the coronavirus crisis.

Thank you NHS!
Please, stay safe.
