COVID-19 has brought the world to a halt and the team at The Oldwalls Collection understands that couples may still be trying to come to terms with the situation.
With decades of experience, we would like to offer our friendly advice to our couples who may need to start looking forward to an alternative date. We know there is a lot of uncertainty right now, but your ‘wedmin’ does not need to be compromised.
1) Contact your guests
Let your family and friends know that you have a new date in place should you need to reschedule - they will understand. Even if the lockdown does not affect your wedding day, it is always best to check in on your nearest and dearest, albeit via FaceTime to chat about your wedding plans. Your wedding celebration will give you and your loved ones something to look forward to once this is all over.

2) Call your suppliers
Check if your suppliers are free on your proposed back up date. If your suppliers are not available, there are so many fantastic alternatives out there, who will be happy to help. If you would like advice on who to contact, get in touch with our wedding specialists. We have an extensive list of recommended suppliers.

3) Keep in touch
Our specialist team of wedding coordinators and venue managers are uniting to keep your ‘wedmin in check’ during isolation. The teams are working remotely to ensure we still deliver our renowned first class customer service. Check-in with your wedding coordinator and use this time to complete your to-do list with a few fist-pumps once you’ve ticked off those tasks!

4) Seasons change, but love is eternal
If you have been planning for a spring wedding that has since been postponed to a later date, it’s time to get excited about considering your autumn or winter styles and trends. Most wedding décor can be adapted with just a few subtle adjustments. You could pair your wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses with fur stoles, you can still keep your flower theme and ask your florist to tweak the foliage for a more seasonal look. Our Pinterest board is perfect for that all-important inspo.

5) Keep calm and carry on
We know that it is not easy and the unknown can be frustrating. However, you can rest assured that we are all in this together. Trust, you are in good hands, and remember the true purpose for your marriage. After all, love always wins, we can’t promise right now when you will say ‘I do’ but we can promise that when your wedding day comes… it will be absolutely magical.
(Love will never be beaten, love always wins)
Stay safe. Stay Positive.
Please note; We are monitoring closely Government updates and will let you know at the earliest, possible convenience if we have no other option than to defer you to your revised wedding date.
