The History

Long before it became a place to say “I do”, Fairyhill was a country home in the heart of Gower. The Grade II-listed Georgian house has a history stretching back to the 18th century. Once known as Peartree, it took the name Fairyhill in 1795, later becoming a hotel in 1984. It’s a house with generations of stories behind it, ready for yours to begin.

Our Story

Founded by brothers Andrew and Simon Hole, it all started back in 2008 with Oldwalls Gower and a big idea to do weddings a little differently. Fast forward nearly two decades, and The Oldwalls Collection has grown to include two of Wales’ most distinctive wedding destinations, Fairyhill and Sant Ffraed House. A lot has changed along the way, but one thing hasn’t: our love for bringing people together and creating celebrations worth talking about. We’ve never been ones for a one-size-fits-all approach, and we’re not about to start now. More choice, more flexibility and more possibilities. That’s what we’re all about.

A new chapter

A new chapter began when Fairyhill joined the Oldwalls Collection. In 2018, the house reopened with the addition of the K Room, a contemporary glass extension designed for wedding celebrations. Overlooking the estate’s woodland and gardens, it brought a new perspective to this historic setting. Today, the Georgian house and its 24 acres provide a place for couples to gather their favourite people and make memories of their own.
